How to Use Pitchbox: A Step-by-Step Guide
If you've recently signed up for a trial, use this step by step guide to help you easily get started with Pitchbox.

Connect Email Account + Set up Templates
In order to be able to send out your cold outreach emails, you will need to first connect your email account to Pitchbox.
- Go to your Settings.
- Under the Email Settings section, click Connect next to your email provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
- Follow the prompts to authorize Pitchbox to send emails from your account
Once you've connected your email account, the next step would be to set up your templates for outreach.
- Return to your Project by clicking the Project dropdown at the top.
- This will take you to your Campaign Dashboard screen.
- Go to Campaign Settings of the campaign that's been set up for you and select Templates & Email Sequence
- You can add up to 3 templates/attempts:
- Attempt #1 = First cold outreach email to a contact
- Attempt #2 = Follow-up email to contact
- Attempt #3 = Final Email in Automated Sequence
- Use merge fields to personalize the emails for each prospect (e.g., their first name, website name).
- You can also include custom variables like URL Found On to reference the URL/page you're reaching out about!
Pro Tip:
- Personalization is Key: Even though Pitchbox automates your outreach, always ensure your emails are personalized for each prospect using such fields as Blog Name, Recent Blog Post. For more on personalization, a few articles worth checking out:

Now that you have your templates added and email account connected, now it's time to send out your first outreach emails!
- To get started with going through results, click on the Personalize tab in the Campaign graph

Adding Keywords to Existing Campaign:
Inbox Management
Pitchbox makes it easy to manage replies and follow-ups:
- Go to the Inbox on the lefthand menu to view responses from your prospects.
- You can reply directly from within Pitchbox and track these conversations.
Utilize our AI Reply feature to help you with your back and forth negotiations

Adding Integrations
Pitchbox integrates with various third-party tools to enhance your outreach efforts. Some integrations include:
- Zapier for automating workflows.
- Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Majestic for better targeting and backlink analysis.
- Open AI and Anthropic for utilizing AI to make your outreach process more efficient.
To set up integrations:
- Navigate to Account Settings.
- Under Integrations, select the tool you want to connect.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to authorize the integration.
