Manual vs. Automated Outreach

There are two different ways that outreach can be sent out:

1. Manual outreach refers to emails that have been sent without the auto follow-up sequence being enabled.

2. Automated outreach occurs when the auto follow-up sequence is enabled. This is done in the Compose section of the Workflow, by choosing 'Launch Automation Sequence'

You can also do this by ensuring the 'Auto Follow-Up Sequence' box is ticked when using the 'Preview & Send' option.

Manual outreach works best when you are trying to contact a high-value opportunity and don’t mind taking the extra time to fine-tune your message. By choosing manual outreach, you’ll have the ability to craft a custom message to your target, rather than allowing the automated mail merge process to do it all for you.

If you have a good template and you don’t want to craft every single message, choose automated outreach. If you choose automated outreach, your first attempt will get sent out automatically using your designated template, after you’ve personalized and reviewed and approved the personalization. If you don’t receive a response after x number of days, your follow-up attempts will get sent out automatically according to your Outreach Schedule, which can be found in Campaign Settings.
